After 4 very long years, team Brassbanned is ecstatic to be heading to Newcastle to bring you live coverage of all bands at the 2023 Australian National Band Championships!
As long time Loyal Viewers most likely recall, the last ‘in person’ event was way back in 2019 – the brilliantly run Championships in Brisbane. After a long hiatus, bands of Australian are finally gathering in person for a celebration of music making across the country.
We will be live with every band from all three halls – broadcasting live from Good Friday morning to Easter Sunday evening. We will also be streaming selected solos on the Monday. A broadcast schedule will be released on Tuesday evening outlining times of sections, and we will release information on exact band timings on Friday morning (when the program becomes publicly available).
Team Brassbanned will be continuing the world famous “Banned on the Run” series, trying to catch up with as many bands as possible. If your band is in Newcastle on Thursday, get in touch and we will try for an in person catch up.
